Financial Inspector with a Focus on Digital Supervision

About the Job

At the Securities Supervision unit within the Market area, we oversee the Swedish securities market – a sector that is central to both savers and the economy at large. As a financial inspector in the unit, you will supervise securities companies, securities operations within banks, and providers of crowdfunding services. This gives you a unique insight into the functioning and actors of the securities market.

We are now strengthening our unit with a focus on supervision of digital actors – an area that is important in a rapidly changing financial market. As our new colleague, you will play a key role in leading the work to initiate and develop supervision of financial services offered through digital channels.

In this role, you are expected to take overall responsibility for leading and driving analyses, supervisory activities, and investigations. You will be responsible for certain development initiatives, promote method development, and ensure that our working methods meet future demands. The role requires you to actively handle complex issues with both a broad perspective and in-depth understanding – and to translate this into concrete results. You can act quickly and contribute to strengthening our communicative supervision.

The work involves regular contact with supervised companies, industry organizations, as well as Swedish and European authorities, but also with companies operating without permits. Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who

• has an academic degree in economics or equivalent
• has solid work experience from the financial sector
• expresses themselves well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you

• have relevant work experience from the securities market such as banks or securities companies
• have experience in areas such as working with financial instruments, investment advice, or other activities related to the savings market
• have an interest and knowledge of the financial market, its development, and trends.
